Global CitizenshipCreativity, Action and ServiceThis is a core component of the IB Diploma Programme and has been successfully implemented across the whole of Year 12 recognising the clear benefits it offers to our students in personal and professional development. All Year 12 students provided global citizenship lessons to lower school students. A Level and IB students provided workshops in a Chinese New Year event in February 2010. Local and national PartnershipsNew south west group formed and regular meetings held to support the development of international learning. Next meeting to be held on Thursday 22nd May with speakers from British Council, ISA and UNICEF. WIA now part of Global Learning Network focus group Meeting held for Schools in Bristol and South Gloucestershire to support International School Award progression with John Pinch, Senior Assessor. Last meeting well attended by both primary and secondary schools. IBSCA conference attended IBSCA South West Co-chairs have both resigned (due to illness and change of schools). New co-chairs will be elected at AGM in June WIA now lead a new British Council Connecting Classrooms East Asia group for South West Year 12IB and SCS gave presentation to PGCE students at UWE on International education and the IB Diploma Programme Support provided to schools in forming links with new partners across the world

Over 40 applications received for IB DP for September, currently, approximately 24 are definite to start in September. Year 13IB students currently completing their final exams, results due on 5th July IB examination spot inspection took place on Wednesday 5th May and overall no reported well. Coming up…IB reaccreditation process to take place next academic year Report on Year 10 opinions about the IB Diploma Programme and their most popular course options. This will be fed into consideration of offering new, more popular course options currently no available such as ‘environmental systems’, design and technology and film.
