Mathematics

Key Stage 3

We set students from Year 7 onwards on ability. Consequently different classes are taught different topics as they go through their time at Winterbourne International Academy. Students who achieved a Level 5 in Key Stage 2 would consolidate the Level 5 work in Year 7 and move onto Level 6. Similarly, those who achieved a Level 3 would consolidate and move onto Level 4.The Mathematics curriculum is split into four areas: Mathematical Processes and Applications, Number and Algebra, Geometry and Measures, Handling Data.
